Who is Jonathan Taylor Thomas?
If you’re an older millennial or a young gen-xer, then he needs no introduction. Most of us watched the sitcom that launched his career.
Also known as JTT, Jonathan Taylor Thomas was a child actor during the early 1990s. His best know role was on the ABC sitcom “Home Improvement” (1991-1999).
He played Randy, the son of Tim Allen and Patricia Richardson.

It was one of the most popular sitcoms of its era, running for eight seasons and earning top ratings. Both Allen and Richardson were offered multi-million dollar contracts to do a ninth season, but they both declined and the show ended in 1999.
Aside from “Home Improvement”, JTT also had an impressive voice role in Disney’sThe Lion King (1994). He was the voice of young Simba.
Of course, if you don’t remember his acting, you may remember his famous haircut. His mane dominated girl’s magazines and his posters adorned many teen bedrooms.

Additionally, he managed to star in a few films as well, including the controversial TV movie Common Ground (2000), which sparked rumors about JTT’s sexuality.
After the conclusion of “Home Improvement”, JTT took a break from acting and focused on his college education. He still worked occasionally during school breaks, but nothing with the level of commitment required for a network series.
In 2004, he had a three-episode guest arc on ABC’s “8 Simple Rules”.

Additionally, he did a role reprisal on “Last Man Standing” as he played a character named Randy. The role reunited him with his TV parents, Tim Allen and Patricia Richardson. He did a handful of episodes between 2013 and 2015.
On “Last Man Standing”, JTT occasionally took the directors chair. Namely, he directed the episodes, “Haunted House” (2013), “Hard-Ass Teacher” (2014), and “Eve’s Band” (2016).
What is JTT doing now?
While Jonathan Taylor Thomas hasn’t been in front of or behind the camera since 2016, he may be focusing on other endeavors outside of Hollywood. Since he’s notoriously private, we’re not sure exactly what he’s up to.

Even though his acting career was on fire as a teen, JTT still valued traditional education. In 2000, he graduated from Chaminade College Prep in West Hills, California.
From there, he enrolled at Harvard University, where he studied philosophy and history. During his third year at Harvard, JTT took the opportunity to study abroad. He spent time at St Andrews in Scotland.

Finally, after an impressive academic journey, Jonathan Taylor Thomas ultimately graduated from the Columbia University School of General Studies.

This is a tough question. For the most part, JTT keeps his personal life under wraps. In 2007, there was a rumored engagement to a woman named Natalie Wright, but the couple split later that same year.
