Nindo: Shinobi War Release Date & More - Naruto Game (2024)

This game is the cream of the crop when it comes to Naruto’s open-world goodness. Anyone who looks at Nindo says this is what Shinobi Striker should have been.

It puts all the other Naruto games to shame, and I have no clue how it keeps getting better with each update.

Every Naruto fan has longed for a game where they can travel from village to village, take on quests, and fight ninjas just like in the anime, and finally, it looks like our dreams are coming true.

Nindo: Shinobi War is a fan-made Naruto open-world RPG where you create your character, pick your village and clan, and complete missions. You can even play with your friends online and test out new Jutsu together.

It’s created by just one guy who goes by the name Akyet on YouTube, and it’s crazy to see how the game has progressed.

Unfortunately, since he doesn’t have any rights to the Naruto property, it might remain a fan project. Still, I really hope he finds some way to make this masterpiece accessible to everyone.

1. Nindo: Shinobi War – Release Date and Where to Download

I would do anything to get my hands on this game. People are more than happy to pay for it and support the developer, even though Akyet said it’s free.

There is no official release date for Nindo: Shinobi War or even a way to become a tester at the moment. The game is not yet available for download to the public.

I know; it sucks. I’ve been waiting for some announcement like a madman hoping for a surprise release, but alas, it might not happen for a few years.

You can get updates on the game on the dedicated discord server for the game and support the creator via patreon.

We’ll just have to sit tight and be patient with the developer. Good things come to those who wait, and this game is definitely worth it.

2. Gameplay Footage

Akyet’s YouTube channel has videos about everything from testing out jutsu to showing off hand signs to trying out new emote animations!

Seeing the progress, he’s made in the last year is downright amazing, and it’s definitely worth checking out.

If you want to stay updated on the game, he has a Discord server where he posts regular updates on the game with clips, videos, and screenshots.

If you’re feeling the hype and want to support Akyet’s work, he’s got a Patreon too.

3. Gameplay Mechanics

This game is constantly getting updates, so things are always changing. Since the addition of character slots, we get to choose from three different characters!

I. Customization

From choosing your village and clan to selecting your starting nature release (fire, water, earth, lightning, or air), there’s a ton of choice available for customization in Nindo: Shinobi War.

You can also change your skin tone, try out many different hairstyles and hair colors, and customize your eyebrows, jawline, nose, and eye shape.

II. Missions and Stats

Once you’re done customizing your character, you’re all set to enter the classroom!

You have to head to the mission acceptance room in Nindo: Shinobi War, where you can choose from a range of missions – from the easiest D Ranking missions about finding the lost cat to the more challenging A Rank missions about recovering the village scroll.

Once you complete the mission, you head back to the same room to receive your rewards in the form of money and Renown Points.

You can keep track of your character’s progress through their stats which includes the Renown level, completed missions their respective ranks, HP, stamina, chakra, reserves, KO counter, and money.

You can explore the Mastery section, where you can see your Main Mastery Stats, Sub Mastery Stats, and the Nature Releases you’ve learned.

The Training section gives you more details on the different masteries – Ninjutsu Mastery for weaving hand signs faster, Taijutsu Mastery for dashing straight to your opponent, and Genjutsu Mastery to protect yourself from being caught in a genjutsu.

III. Exploration

The exploration is off the charts. There’s so much to see and do, and the fact that it’s multiplayer is mind-blowing. The villages are like a trip down memory lane, especially Konoha village. The nostalgia hits you right in the feels!

There are always NPCs running around doing their thing. And when you want to level up your ninjutsu skills, there are masters scattered around the map who can teach you different techniques.

Just make sure you have enough Ninjutsu Mastery and some cash on hand to unlock them. You can visit a local shop to grab some kunai, shuriken, and explosive tags.

The clothing store has some really cool outfits that you can buy. There’s a weapon store right next to it, so you’re all set to take on any mission.

Oh, and if you’re feeling adventurous, there’s a whole Sand Nation to explore too, but it’s not as lively as Konoha.

IV. Combat

Let’s talk about the real deal in this game – the combat. The range of abilities you get in this game is so much better than anything I’ve seen in even professionally made games.

The combat in Nindo: Shinobi War is highly satisfying, with multiple different abilities at your disposal, from creating whirlpools and lightning attacks to putting up walls and barriers.

You’ll always find bandits lurking in the forests. They’ll jump you as soon as they see you, but the combat that ensues is worth it. You’ll gain Renown points and money by taking them down.

The Minato boss fight is on another level. That dude is so OP that he won’t even give you a break. You can revive yourself up to four times if you die.

If you die five times in a row, though, you’ll lose the fight and end up in the hospital.

Recently Akyet, released two new features. The first is a cool wall run process, it’s like none other, the point of view of the character running on walls is on point, and with it you could run sideways on walls, effortlessly scale buildings, etc.

The other feature is still a work in progress as he has revealed in his YouTube video. You get to have a face-off against an enormous snake.

Nindo: Snake AI Update

If you ever get stuck in the game, just open up the menu and click on the “I’m stuck” option. It’ll spawn you in the hospital, where your health gets restored.
