Everything you need to know about FedEx overnight shipping.

What is FedEx overnight shipping?

It's a fast next-day shipping service. Shipments are delivered the day after they're dropped off at a FedEx location or picked up from the customer.

Make sure you get your shipment to FedEx before the overnight cutoff time. Call your local store to confirm cutoff times and check the Last Days to Ship page to see which days the service is open and operating hours during different holidays.

How to calculate the costs?

Shipping costs depend on which type of service you choose, the distance to your delivery address, and the weight of your package.

Generally, the shorter the time, the farther the distance, and the heavier the package will lead to the more expensive shipping cost. For the specific calculation method, please check here.

  • Delivery time

This service delivers Monday–Friday. Saturday pickup and delivery are available in certain areas for an additional charge.

Delivery is available throughout the United States. Hawaii service is to and from the island of Oahu only. Deliveries to and from select ZIP codes in Alaska and Hawaii may differ from delivery times in the contiguous U.S.

  • Packaging requirements

Individual pieces over 150 lbs. should be banned from the pallet with either metal strapping or unbreakable plastic straps applied around the box or skid freight on all sides.
